Active Minds Active Minds
Active Minds Active Minds mobilizes youth and young adults for mental health advocacy and suicide prevention. Providing resources, education, training, and award-winning programs, Active Minds is present in more than 1,000 communities and campuses nationwide. We bring to mental health what no other organization can — the voice of young people who are disproportionately affected by mental illnesses and the way mental health is addressed on campuses and in society at large. By empowering young adults to speak openly about mental health, we can reduce stigma, encourage help-seeking, and prevent suicides, while creating a new generation of advocates to boldly use their voices to influence the conversation around mental health.

American Foundation for Suicide Prevention
The Indiana American Foundation for Suicide Prevention Chapter was chartered in 2008. As a part of AFSP’s growing nationwide network of chapters, we bring together people from all backgrounds who want to prevent suicide in our communities. Families and friends who have lost someone to suicide, vulnerable individuals, mental health professionals, clergy, educators, students, community/business leaders, and many others energize our chapter. The grassroots work we do focuses on eliminating the loss of life from suicide by: delivering innovative prevention programs, educating the public about risk factors and warning signs, raising funds for suicide research and programs, and reaching out to those individuals who have lost someone to suicide.
