Race Evening in St. Paul

Thank you so much for joining us on Gabe's birthday in St. Paul. We can’t wait to see you!

For this 9th Annual 5K Event, we’re planning a joyful summer evening for everyone. This is a celebration with a 5K on the side, so even if you don’t consider yourself a ‘runner’, know that this event is for all! All ages and paces are welcome, and you can run or walk the 5K course. This event is family-friendly, which means kids and strollers are welcome, dogs on leashes are encouraged, and there will be plenty of joy to go around on a beautiful summer evening.

Evening events will include:

  • Abby’s Run, where kids run free!
  • High fives and head spins from our favorite Golden Gopher, Goldy!
  • Food Trucks with kid-friendly options
  • Crafts, coloring, sidewalk chalk
  • BIRTHDAY TREATS for all!!

Location:

    Como Midway Picnic Pavilion

    1199 Midway Pkwy

    St Paul, MN 55103

Free parking is available in public lots in Como Park, as well as on nearby residential streets. Please arrive early to allow plenty of time to park and walk to the Pavilion!

*5K course is subject to change.

We will be ready for you right at 4:00pm, but to give our volunteers plenty of time to set up and get organized please don’t be too early! Your race packet will include your bib and your race t-shirt. There is no t-shirt size swapping on race day. There is no race day registration!
All kids are welcome to join Abby's Run on race day in St. Paul! In honor of Abigail Anderson, pediatric nurse, joyful spirit and Gabe's younger sister, we annually host a free kids run at the St. Paul event. No need to register, just line up when the time is right and show us those fast arms and speedy legs! Grown ups can purchase additional youth t-shirts as part of their own registration.
We will be lining everyone up for the 5K immediately following Abby’s Run, and the run will follow a course that takes in Como Lake. The route will follow the running/walking paths, and you will see signs along the way helping you stay on track. This is not a closed course so please be respectful of others using the paths. A water stop will be located between miles 1 and 2. The race will be chip timed, and while there won’t be any awards, you are all winners in our hearts! You will receive an email with your race time following the race.
When you cross the finish line, grab a post-race snack bag! You are welcome to hang around and enjoy dinner from the food trucks that will be on-site! We will have a variety of sponsor booths, a photo opportunity, and we’ll have Running on Hope merchandise for sale!

Race packet pick up will be on Tuesday, June 23rd, from 4PM - 7PM at the Twin Cities Motion Center. We encourage you to pick up your packet at this event, but we also offer packet pick up on race evening.
