Global Running Day 2026: The 10,000-Mile Challenge

This Global Running Day, we run with purpose.

From May 25 through June 3, Back on My Feet is bringing together runners across 14 cities and beyond with one goal: log 10,000 miles in 10 days in support of individuals overcoming homelessness and addiction.

Running is at the heart of everything we do. It’s how our members build consistency, accountability, and community as they work toward employment and independence. During this challenge, they will log more than 1,200 miles together. Now, we’re asking you to run alongside them.

This is a challenge built for runners of all levels. Whether it’s one mile or ten, every run moves our community forward. When you join, your miles do more than add up on a leaderboard. They help create access to job training, financial stability, and a supportive community that believes in second chances.

There are two ways to participate:

Join the Back on My Feet Strava Club and track your miles as part of our collective 10,000-mile goal

• Register for the challenge to be entered into our prize drawing, with every mile you complete earning one entry

We need just 875 people to commit to one mile a day for ten days to reach 10,000 miles together.

Here’s how it works:

👟Log your miles during the 10-day challenge. Every mile earns a giveaway entry.

👟Share who you’re running for and invite others to join you.

Every mile you run and every dollar you give brings you closer to the finish line and earns you a chance to win. For every mile logged during the challenge, you’ll receive one entry, and for every $5 donated, you’ll earn another. The challenge runs from May 25 through June 3, and all entries are automatically tracked when you log your miles or make a donation. The more you run, the more chances you have to win while supporting individuals working to rebuild their lives through running.

One participant will win a Head-to-Toe Running Gear Outfit, generously donated by On Running. This prize celebrates your commitment to showing up, putting in the miles, and being part of a movement that goes beyond the run. Winner announced June 5 by a Special Guest!

Step 1: Log into your Participant Account https://manage.hakuapp.com/login/backon- my-feet

Step 2: If you would like to add from a Wearable Device - First click on “Your devices” to connect your device. Please note: Devices supported: Sunnto, Fitbit, Garmin, Polar, Map My Fitness App (compatible with Apple watch)

Step 3: Submitting your Results:

  • Click on Your Events at the top of the screen.
  • Select the event you are submitting time for
  • Click Submit Activity and Log New Activity Select Add from Wearable or Add Manual Activity
  • For Wearable: The data from your device will be displayed. Click Select to choose an activity to submit your result
  • For Manual: Enter Your Total Finish Time and any additional information & submit
